Lunch at the Barley Mow
We had a light lunch at the Barley Mow. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The pub itself is really lovely situated in a beautiful South Downs village. The garden is really quaint on the edge of a little river. No one would be disappointed with this pub it’s lovely.

2 of us had fabulous Sunday lunch today after a long dog walk. Roast beef was perfect, with some fat on to slip to Charlie our dog. Game pie was also great. Epic roast potatoes! Too stuffed for dessert!

Worth a visit
First visit since new managent. Lovely new decor, friendly service and I’ve honestly never had better chips. Wife’s burger was exceptional.

Great country pub
I cannot recommend this pub highly enough. We enjoyed pizza and burger sitting in the sunshine, and the landlady was incredibly welcoming — nothing was too much trouble. The beer was perfect, and the beautiful walks with the dog made it even better. Finishing the day with a great pint and delicious pizza in such a lovely country pub was ideal. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you

A Delcious Sunday Roast After A Scenic Walk
A wonderful welcoming pub that serves the most delicious Sunday roasts. We had not visited for a while and discovered it to be under new management. We had booked for 2pm and, as it was a lovely day, intended going on a countryside walk for a couple of hours to build up an apetite! The hosts could not have been more friendly and welcoming and allowed us to park up beforehand and wished us a good walk.
The sirloin of beef & pork loin roasts were delicious and served with an array of good vegetables - an added bonus was that the ingredients were locally sourced. We will be sure to visit again and good luck to the new licencees for the future.
